The Turtle is a mob added by vanilla Minecraft. It spawns on beach biomes. When bred with Seagrass, Turtles will return to their spawn location and lay an Egg. After several Minecraft days, a baby Turtle will hatch. When it grows into an adult, it will drop a Scute, which can be used to craft a Turtle Shell.

Upon death, Turtles may drop up to two Seagrass or - when killed by lightning - one Bowl.
