The Solar Engine is an item added by the Steve's Carts 2 mod. It is used to generate energy to power carts made from a Standard Hull or Reinforced Hull. Solar panels will deploy on the cart gathering energy from a high enough light source, making it best suited for above ground, day time use. It can be used in conjunction with a Coal Engine for hybrid locomotion.
