Name | Rite of Shifting Seasons |
Source Mod | Witchery |
Type | Spell |
The Rite of Shifting Seasons is a spell added by the Witchery mod. It is one of Witchery's spells that can be used to alter the biome in an area.
The Book of Biomes is a handy reference guide to choose which biome you want and it lets you know how many glowstone is needed to select that biome. Just use the item required for the biome and then use zero or more glowstone based on the number associated with the biome. The Book of Biomes book autogenerates based on the biomes in the modpack.
To make the affected area larger, use more witches.
Recipe[edit]
- In addition to the above ingredients, the player must supply an item from the following list to specify which group of biomes the target biome belongs to...
Biome Group | Foci Item |
---|---|
Forest | Oak Sapling |
Plains | Tall Grass |
Swamp | Slimeball |
Desert | Cactus |
Frozen | Icy Needle |
Jungle | Jungle Sapling |
Wasteland | Netherrack |
Beach | Sand |
Mushroom | Red Mushroom |
Magical | Skeleton Skull |
- Once the biome group is specified, the player must supply a number of Glowstone Dust in order to specify which biome within that group is desired.
- An exhaustive listing of all the biomes in the current modpack, which group they belong to and what quantity of Glowstone Dust is required to specify them, can be found by consulting a Book of Biomes.
- An alternative method of performing this ritual spell is to craft it as a Custom Brew in a Witch's Cauldron, using a Biome Note to specify the target Biome. Note that this will still require a coven and large amounts of Altar power. Although it is created in a Witch's Cauldron, a Brew of Shifting Seasons cannot be bottled and must cast as a ritual by adding either Gunpowder or Water Artichoke Globe, then Tongue of Dog.
