The Pulverizer is a machine added by Thermal Expansion. Its main use is to turn Ores into their respective Dusts, at a 1:2 ratio. The Dusts can then be smelted in any type of Furnace (such as the Induction Smelter or Electric Furnace) to produce Ingots. Its recipes also sometimes yield a by-product, thus giving the Pulverizer a slight advantage over the Macerator, as well as a cheaper recipe, although the secondary output usually has only a small chance of production. The Pulverizer is not compatible with every ore in some FTB Modpacks; Ores known to be compatible are in the table below.
In Thermal Expansion 2 for Minecraft versions 1.5.2 and earlier, the Pulverizer requires MJ to run, uses a maximum of 4 MJ/t and can store up to 4800 MJ. In Thermal Expansion 3, it requires RF to function but will accept MJ through a Redstone Conduit.
When connecting the Pulverizer to a Transport Pipe or Itemduct system, it is important to note that the machine has one input (blue), a primary output (red) and a secondary output (yellow). These can be changed to different sides using the Configuration menu in the machine's GUI. This way it is also possible to use two sides of the machine for the same output, or have primary and secondary products output to the same side (orange). The Pulverizer can automatically eject items out of their specified side into pipes, inventories, and adjacent machines.
