Filtered Buffer is a block added by the BuildCraft mod. It can be used to filter items and offers single stack buffers for each filter. The GUI offers nine filter slots at the top, which can be set up as filters by clicking them with an item from the inventory. The item will then be shown in the top filter slot and the buffer slot beneath it will unlock. When items are input into the block, the whitelisted ones will be buffered in the slot below their filter. Any items which are not whitelisted (or items for which the buffer is full) will be randomly ejected from the block. Buffered items can be extracted from the Filtered Buffer like from any other block, such as using a Wooden Transport Pipe.
