Iceman's Backpack is an item added by the Railcraft mod and will only be available if Forestry is also installed. Like Forestry's backpacks, the Iceman's Backpack is designated for specific items and accepts only snow and ice materials, helpful in snow-fights. Or building Igloos. If there are more than sixteen Snowballs and available space, it will compress them into Snow blocks, and if there are less than eight Snowballs it will turn Snow blocks back into balls. It does not accept Packed Ice, Frosted Stone, Snow Bricks or any of Chisel 2's ice variants as of 1.7.10. The basic version has 15 slots and can be upgraded into the Woven Iceman's Backpack with 45 slots.

Controls
To open the Backpack, place it on the hotbar and right-click while selected. Cycle through the modes by crouching, and then right-clicking with the Backpack selected in the hotbar. In any mode but Receiving, Shift-right clicking on a chest will dump all items out of the pack, space permitting.
Forestry Backpacks have four different modes:
- Default - Automatically takes any compatible items that enter the player's inventory until full. (no added icon)
Locked - Doesn't take in anything automatically, but can still be opened and manually filled/emptied. (lock icon)
Receiving - Shift-Right clicking on an inventory will take all compatible items until full. (green up arrow icon)
Resupply - Refills any stacks of its items on the player's hotbar. (yellow down arrow icon)
Config
Additional items can be added to most Backpacks default lists by editing /minecraft/config/forestry/backpacks.cfg, or the supporting mod's config file for ones added by different mod. The Lepidopterist and Apiarist backpacks cannot be edited, while Adventurer is useless until edited.
The command /mt hand (MineTweaker) or /ct hand (CraftTweaker) will output the item ID of a held item to the chat window in-game if installed, otherwise F3+H will turn on advanced tooltips. Backpack configs also accept oredict entries and wildcards. Config files must be in sync between the client and the server in SMP.
