The current floodlight design as of 1.7.10

The Floodlight is a block added by the Immersive Engineering. The Floodlight when supplied with LV RF (using a LV Wire Coil) provides a cone of light that can extend up to 32 blocks long, the light is equivalent to a Glowstone block, the brightest light level in the game. The Floodlight also prevents hostile mobs from spawning within the 32 block long cone.

The Floodlight can be rotated and pitched up or down using the Engineer's Hammer. Right-clicking the top or bottom of the Floodlight rotates it counterclockwise, sneak right-clicking rotates it clockwise. Right-clicking the sides of the Floodlight moves it up and sneak right-clicking moves it down.

The Floodlight uses 5 RF/t and can be used as a relay, allowing for other LV Wire Coils to connect to the Floodlight to power other Floodlights, Powered Lanterns, or machines. The LV Wire Coil can be removed from a Floodlight by using the Engineer's Wire Cutters, it will disconnect all LV Wire Coils.
