A Notebook is a place to store Symbols. It can be used in tandem with a Writing Desk to allow you to write your own Ages.
Old Behavior[edit]
Prior to Mystcraft 0.10.0.00, you would simply put the Notebook in the top-left slot of the GUI, and the Descriptive Book in the top right.
If the Descriptive Book is unwritten, it allows you to add Symbols from your Notebook to the previously unwritten Age. If you have already travelled to the Age in the descriptive book, and you do not have those symbols in your Notebook, the Writing Desk writes the symbols to your Notebook.
