Mana Enchanter

This article is a stub. You can help the wiki by expanding it.

The Mana Enchanter is a multiblock structure added by the Botania mod. This block utilizes mana to apply multiple enchantments from Enchanted Books to an item without consuming the books. The Mana Enchanter is constructed from 17 Obsidian blocks, 10 Mystical Flowers of any color, 6 Mana Pylons, and 1 Lapis Lazuli block. The construction will require a 7x11 square space. After laying out the blocks in the required pattern as described in the Lexica Botania, the Lapis Lazuli block must be right-clicked with the Wand of the Forest and it will convert into the Mana Enchanter. This block will convert back to a normal Lapis Lazuli block if any part of the multiblock construct is broken or moved.

To use the Enchanter, right-click it with the item to be enchanted. This block will not accept items with any enchantments already on them. Drop Enchanted Books with each enchantment to be applied into the circle. The Enchanter will accept all compatible enchantments and applies every enchantment simultaneously. If a book has multiple enchantments, the Enchanter will only use the first enchantment on it. The process will not consume the Enchanted Books. To start the enchantment process, right-click the Mana Enchanter with a Wand of the Forest. The spell circle animation indicates that the Enchanted Books can be retrieved.

The Enchanter consumes mana rather than experience to enchant items. Mana can be supplied by either sending mana bursts via Mana Spreader pointed at the block or adding a Spark above the Enchanter that is connected to another Spark above a Mana Pool. After the Enchanter absorbs enough mana, it will complete the enchantment. The process is indicated by an animation, once the circle goes back down the process is complete. Mana cost is dependent on a combination of the levels, rarity, and number of enchantments being applied to the item.
