The Cursed Spirit's Blade is a weapon item added by the Thaumic Tinkerer 2 mod. It grants users 25% enhanced speed and also adds +10 attack damage, but this feature takes one heart from the Player per attack. Blocking with the Sword limits damage received to 1.5 hearts, regardless of the damage dealt by the offending weapon or mob. 'Shift+Right-clicking' changes the mode to Essentia Harvesting. When a mob is slain by the sword in this mode, it will drop the Soul Aspects of those aspects which are contained in this mob. These aspects can be used in the ritual of Mob Summoning or cooked in an alchemical furnace for 8 essentia of that type.

Thaumonomicon Entry

"You created a sword that strikes with unparalleled force. However, for this to be the case, the sword feeds on the striker's blood.

Upon damaging anything with this sword, the attacker will take one heart of damage. Blocking with this sword will always deal only 1.5 hearts, regardless of the original damage.

Furthermore, simply holding this sword gives the holder a steadfast aura, making them move faster than normal.

You have also discovered that the sword can reap the souls of mobs instead of normal drops. This ability is activated via a shift-right click. These souls are rich in essentia, but you suspect that they might have other uses."
