The Pulse Jet Furnace is a machine added by RotaryCraft. The Pulse Jet Furnace is a furnace used to create certain materials at very high temperatures. It can also melt armor and tools back into their respective ingots or gems. The furnace is used to create Blast Glass, Tungsten Carbide Ingots, and Inductive Ingots.

RotaryCraft Handbook Description[edit]

The pulse jet is a powerful furnace. While it will not smelt the ordinary recipes, it will melt obsidian into glass that is immune to TNT, melt armor and tools back into ingots, and make steel more efficiently than a standard furnace. It will get VERY hot, and will ignite nearby flammable materials - keeping it cooled with water is a necessity. While there is no minimum power requirement, the jet requires high shaft speeds. The pulse jet consumes jet fuel to operate, and a rather large amount of it. This machine receives power from below.

Usage[edit]

Pulse Jet Furnace has no known uses in crafting.

Set-up[edit]

This machine can be powered from a Performance Engine as long as it has the correct additives to reach its maximum output. . To meet the speed requirement, the shaft power must be ran through the minimum of a Steel 16:1 Gearbox and then a Diamond 8:1 Gearbox both switched to Speed Mode using a Screwdriver. From here, the shaft must go into a Bevel Gear to the bottom of the Pulse Jet Furnace. Assuming that Jet Fuel and water are being supplied to the Jet Furnace, it is safe to use once it heats up.

Trivia[edit]

  • If the player dies from standing upon the furnace, the death message, PLAYER NAME tried to swim in lava, will appear.
