The Gas-Burning Generator is a power generator block added by the Mekanism mod. It produces power from burnable gases, such as Hydrogen and Ethylene. It can be filled with the gases by either piping it in through a Pressurized Tube or through placing a filled Gas Tank in the appropriate slot.

The generator has an internal storage of 20 kJ (8 kRF) and 18,000 units of any burnable gas. The burn rate is maximal above 6750 units in storage, and decrease under this value, along with the energy output.

The energy output depends on the gas used :

• Hydrogen : at maximal burn rate 100 mB/t, it produces 20 kJ/t (8 kRF/t). Maximal output : 40 kJ/t (16 kRF/t). Warning : Hydrogen production cost, using an Electrolytic Separator with 0 to 8 Speed Upgrades, will be exactly the same than the energy output of the generator, meaning that it's not possible to produce energy with this gas. It can only be used to convert the excess of produced Hydrogen to energy to compensate a part of the energy cost, or as another form of energy storage. Instead, turn your Hydrogen into Ethylene using the Pressurized Reaction Chamber.
• Ethylene : at maximal burn rate 0.7 mB/t, it produces 19.73 kJ/t (7.89 kRF/t). Maximal output : 39.47 kJ/t (15.79 kRF/t). The burn rate on the GUI (28 mB/t) is indeed wrong.
