Compost Bin is a block added by the Garden Stuff mod. It is a crafting station which is required to craft Compost. It has a three model textures which shows the "state" of process: Nothing inside the bin - no items; Podzol inside the bin - only input items; Garden Soil inside the bin - output items inside, process is finished.

It must have some "organic matter" - items as the input, so then some of these items after some time will be turned into 1 compost pile. Items that can be used are:

•  Dirt;
•  Leaves;
•  Grass;
•  Mushrooms;
•  Saplings;
•  Seeds;

Of course, stuff from other mods also may be used, for example: Iridescent Dirt from Botanical Addons.

Trivia

Materials for crafting compost can use OreDict as well as be added or deleted with MineTweaker 3. Different items can have different amounts of time required to consume them.
