Regarding version differences[edit]
- If the item is added in the latest version, it first has to be added to the navigation box, without sprite number (because it obviously is not included in the sprite yet). Next the editor has to request the textures of such item here and request the sprite update.
- If the editor is to create an article about several items in one subgroup/group of the navigation box, the link to such article has to be the naming of the said group/subgroup. This feature is supported by MW, so it is better to be used.
- If the editor finds out that the item is removed in the latest version with no alternative whatsoever, the editor has to put {{old}} into the article of that item and then replace it in the navigation box, assigning it to "removed" group. If the alternative persists, and the alternative is exactly the same as the older item, but with the different name, the item article is to be moved to a new page name, the navigation box is also to be updated. If the alternative is different in at least some aspects, including texture, GUI, NBT data etc, the older item is to be treated as having no alternative, as mentioned above. The only difference is that the older item needs a link to a new item article. The navigation box has to be updated by moving the older item into the "removed" category and then adding the new item, followed with a texture request, as stated above.
Thanks.

- Thanks, but a new issue seems to have popped up after following your solution. My image has an issue where the background is visible, despite it being set to transparant. I would switch the background to black, but that would change the crafting table image. How do I set them as two different ones? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dory (talk · contribs)
- I fixed your images, it is a caching problem. --GamePlaysForU (talk) 16:35, 24 September 2018 (CEST)
- Thanks, how would I fix the caching issue in the future? --Dory

{{ModNav|<Thermal Expansion>}} generates Thermal Expansion navbox, but {{ModNav|<te>}} does the same. You can see Module:ModNames to find out how you can shorten the name of the mod. --GamePlaysForU (talk) 16:42, 24 September 2018 (CEST)

I'm working on the documentation for Compact Machines V.3 (Named compact machines 2), and I need to create a new infobox for the mod. How would I create the template? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dory (talk · contribs)
- In case there are significant differences between the newer and the older versions, the editor is to separate the mods in two, followed by a proper disambiguation of the main articles of the mod, navigation boxes and the ModNames module update. The former version of the mod is to be assigned the number, f.e. "ModName 1", while the latter being "ModName 2". Only after that the editor can create a new navigation box. If the problems are met during the disambiguation process, it is the best to contact more experienced editors either in their talk pages or in any of our community Discord servers (links provided upon request). The page is easier created by manually typing the wanted adress in the adress bar and then creating the article/template under that adress. The template contents can be copied from any other up-to-date template.
- Thanks.

Thermal Expansion[edit]
Hello!
I see that you edit a lot of pages, changing {{ModLink|te4}}
to [[Thermal Expansion]]
. That is not needed: ModLink is especially done so that mod renaming is done in like 1 click here: Module:ModNames. I think I've fixed the problem with broken TE links. I hope I did it correctly...
