This page is a sandbox for work on overhauling the ME Network page to include power usage for each component.
ME Network is a term used to refer to all the components connected to a single ME Controller by ME Cable. The ME Controller is the "heart" of the ME Network, providing power for all other components in the Network. In order for the ME Network to work, the Controller must be provided with energy, and can accept many other mod's format of power including EU (IndustrialCraft 2), MJ (BuildCraft), RF (Thermal Expansion), and Joules (Basic Components). Each form of energy has a different ratio to which it converts to the Network's form of power called Unit. 1 EU = 2 Units [0.5 EU = 1 Unit], 1 MJ (= 10 RF) = 5 Units [0.2 MJ (= 2 RF) = 1 Unit] and 20 Joules = 1 Unit. Applications[edit]
Applications of the ME Network can include one or more of the following:
- Large Storage
- Sorting System
- Auto-Crafting System
- Automation
- Quick Item Travel
Network Components and Power Usage[edit]
An ME Network consists of any combination of the following devices, and the power it requires is simply the sum of the power required by all components. Power is input at the network's ME Controller, which on its own requires 6 units of power per tick to run, which is equivalent to 3 EU/t, 1.2 MJ/t, 12 RF/t, or 120 J/t.

- ↑ Although RF is not listed in the interface, the controller can accept RF directly from a dynamo or energy cell, without an intermediary conduit to convert it to MJ. The conversion is the usual ten to one.
- ↑ listed in game as "kw/t", though this is incorrect; kilowatts are a unit of power and equal to kilojoules per second. Properly, this would be listed in J/t.
