ON THIS WIKI
User:Dedbbs
I run a small, private, dedicated, 24/7 FTB Ultimate server. My users and I try a number of things out, which helps me be knowledgeable in certain areas of the game. I made an account because I'd anonymously edited the wiki many times already when I've noticed information that was either incorrect or simply not there.
I simply just hope to improve the level of textual/photographic/diagram (yeah, probably not diagrams, i can't draw) documentation available for certain mods so that others can experience them. I get extremely frustrated having to watch several hours of tutorials on Youtube to find answers to my questions because of this lack of textual documentation on MC.
I want to reiterate, I am not an expert. While I would like all mods to be adequately documented, I've noticed that there's a significant lack of information about the excellent mods MineFactory Reloaded and Factorization, among others, and I will try to add information to them when I am able to. I feel reasonably confident with my knowledge of MineFactory Reloaded, though my knowledge of Factorization is still spotty. Some of GregTech 4 is poorly documented and I would like to help with that too.
My current favorite mod is Applied Energistics (I just overhauled the page...) I am also a fan of and decently knowledgeable about IndustrialCraft 2, Thermal Expansion, GregTech 4 (I prefer EasyMode GregTech in Multiplayer w/ friends, many of whom aren't as diehard MC/FTBers as me), Thaumcraft 3, Power Converters, Forestry, Extra Bees, Thaumic Bees, and (not included in FTB as of yet) MineChem. I am a fan of Railcraft as well, but my knowledge of it is limited mainly to a some kinds of tracks, locomotives, and Steam Boilers.
After deciding I'm inept at adding some mods to FTB, I gave up on adding Galacticraft to my server... But, I would really, really, really love it if Galacticraft was added to FTB Ultimate. I also would like to try that Fossils and Archaaeology Mod, but again, inept with those mods, crashin my Forge Mod Loader, so I just gave up.
I'm not that familiar with the wiki editing format & bb code, so I'm a bit leery of creating new pages, making forum posts, and of editing more than the text-based sections of articles, though I'm prone to explosions of writing when my information level is filled to bursting. Please excuse any glaring formatting or style errors when I may do so; I am only doing so to help improve the availability of documentation. Please let me know if I make any glaring mistakes and I will try to both remedy them and not repeat them.
I have a tendency to write a lot about something when I'm able to and I may produce sentences longer than normal (sometimes by using parentheses); I also find I may use semicolons more than a normal person - I may even use dashes - so feel free to edit these into a more easily coherent sentence structure if you think it's a good idea. Basically, I tend to make seemingly run-on sentences that are actually grammatically correct. PLEASE EDIT MY SENTENCES INTO COHERENCE IF YOU SEE THIS. Thanks <3
