Talk:Tree

This is my first talk page, so I apologize if I mess up. I noticed that there is another page called Category:Tree, which has almost no information. I got there from a link at the bottom of the Magic tree page. It seems like these two pages should be combined somehow. My username is JonathanHopeThisIsUnique (I remember reading something about timestamps but I forgot how to use them.)

Category pages are separate from regular articles, they contain mostly just lists of related articles on a topic. They're used as a different way to navigate the information included in the wiki. Every article should be included in at least one category, by adding at the bottom of the page, or by using a template that automatically categorizes it. And to sign talk comments, use ~~~~. --timrem (talk) 20:29, 23 December 2013 (CET)
Hi Jonathan. Categories are not normal pages. They are auto generated lists of pages that fit into that category. They are not really intended to provide much information on a topic (Category:Ore is pretty typical). They simply allow all tree or ore articles to be found easily. You can add Categories to a page simply by adding a link to the category at the bottom of the page (I.e. ) Also, use ~~~~ to sign your posts on talk pages. ;-) Celestial Oblivion (talk) 20:35, 23 December 2013 (CET)
^ This. It's usually a good idea to e. g. link to Tree from Category:Tree, and to categorize Tree as the first page in Category:Tree (by adding to it). --dgelessus (talk · contribs) 22:12, 23 December 2013 (CET)
