Ritual of the Green Grove[edit]

Using Ritual of the Green Grove from BloodMagic can decrease the time from 168 to ~10 minuets. YAY! Imanton1 (talk) 02:41, 1 June 2014 (CEST) Post that on the page then :P --TehRawrz (talk) 19:37, 1 June 2014 (CEST)

The fastest that I think growing an Ender-Lily plant can possibly be, in a situation where literally everything goes your way and would require intentional effort plus significant luck (or just extraordinary luck) is when it's grown on an Ender Core at somewhere very close to a critical tick and the RNG is in your favor such that it triggers a growth almost immediately before the "sliding window" ticks over to the window that can grow the next stage of the plant. Even that utopian scenario would still take 15 minutes and 25 seconds from plant to pearl. Ignoring unloaded chunks and/or failed attempts at bonemeal or an equivalent, it is statistically impossible for you to have consistently noticed 168-minute growth times on an Ender Core, so you can't just be talking about a change from "not using Green Grove" to "using Green Grove". --Airbreather (talk) 23:40, 28 June 2014 (CEST)

Agrarian Skies HQ: Crafting[edit]

In the Agrarian Skies: HQ version 3.1.1 (probably other versions too -- this is just the one I'm looking at), it is possible to craft these seeds using just an Eye of Ender plus a "Grass Seeds" from Ex Nihilo (so raw materials are Ender Pearl + Blaze Powder (can be sifted from Dust using an Ex Nihilo Sieve) + Grass Seeds (can be sifted from Dirt using an Ex Nihilo Sieve). Would this kind of information be useful here, or are there too few modpacks that use Ex Nihilo for that to make sense to put on the main page? --Airbreather (talk) 23:44, 28 June 2014 (CEST)

Hey. I was going to edit the page and noticed you've already joined the wiki :P Yes, this information is useful, I guess you could add the usual==Recipe== header, mention that the Ender Lily Seeds can only be obtained as Dungeon loot or by breaking grown Ender Lily plants and then add ===Agrarian Skies=== subheader with the recipe you mentioned and a Note: this recipe was added in version 3.x.x". -- OstPavel (talk • contributions) 23:52, 28 June 2014 (CEST)
Thanks, done. --Airbreather (talk) 04:35, 29 June 2014 (CEST)

Request: Experimental Growth Times[edit]

Does anyone have the time, energy, and desire to run some statistical experiments on this? It would be nice to know the mean growth times ("plant-to-pearl") for the different combinations of the "supporting block" / "active or inactive block updates". For example, if I've got the crop growing on Dirt, then how long can I expect to wait if I want to completely leave it alone, versus tending to it with a Watering Can every 80 minutes? What about the same idea with End Stone and every 20 minutes? Ender Core and every 185 seconds? --Airbreather (talk) 15:25, 29 June 2014 (CEST)
