This item is obtained by finding the randomly generated Roguelike Dungeons in the Overworld which look like lone towers of stoen brick variants, cobblestone, stone and gravel. The journal can be found on the upper floor of the tower in the chest. The journal explains why the original inhabitants had to abandon the ruin and what to expect when the player ventures down.
