Electricity
Electricity is an energy concept added by the Magneticraft mod. In Magneticraft, Electricity is generated in machines like the Basic Generator using Furnace fuels or the Combustion Engine using liquid fuels and can be stored in a Battery. Electricity can be used to generate Heat with a Heater and can be generated from Heat using the Basic Generator or Multiblock Stirling Generator. Electricity can be measured using the Magneticraft Voltmeter.
Electricity comes in three forms:
- Most machines use or generate Low Voltage that can be transported with Low Voltage Cable or Copper Wire, stored in a Battery or sent to an Electrical Pole With Transformer for transmission via Heavy Copper Coil.
- Medium Voltage is used by a Miner and generated by the multiblock Turbine, is transmitted using Medium Voltage Cable and can be converted either up or down.
- High Voltage is currently only used for transmission via High Voltage Cable and must be converted down for use.
Electricity production and usage is measured in Watts (W) or Kilowatts (kW) and stored in a battery in Joules (J) or Kilojoules (kJ).
The mod author has stated that he based Magneticraft's Electricity off of RedPower 2's bluetricity and it also behaves similar to real world Electricity with Voltage, Current and Wattage.
