Barley is a plant that naturally spawns ubiquitously across all grass in the Pasture biome. It can be destroyed by punching with bare fists or other tools, though as of this wiki edit, it appears that BoP barley will not be harvested 100% of the time. Certain tools may increase the chance of properly harvesting barley.

Biomes O' Plenty barley can be replanted directly on grass blocks. It can be crafted in a crafting table 3 across to make 1 wheat.

A second Barley is available from Natura, which acts wholly differently and whose seeds can be found by punching tall grass.
